Who, or what, do you serve?
You've got to serve somebody.
Or at least so sang Bob Dylan 45 years ago.
You've got to serve somebody.
So this is an interesting question. Who do you serve? Perhaps a better question is, what do you serve? How can we even tell who or what we serve? Well, let's pay attention to how we spend our time, where we place our attention. Where we place our resources, whether it's money or something else. Time and resources.
So where do I put my resources?
Am I spending all my time and resources on gathering more resources? To what end?
So this is a really penetrating question because we are not necessarily serving who, if we thought about it, we'd want to serve or what we'd want to serve. So my question is, again, who do you serve? Where do you spend your resources?
And if you find that you're spending your resources on a master that is oppressive or punishing or is going in the wrong direction, then start to turn your allocation of those resources elsewhere.
Shoot me a note and tell me what you're spending your resources on. Time, attention, money.
